Dazzling Holiday Dinners

Share your festive favorite. It could win you $500.

The options for holiday dinner combinations are endless—which is why we want to see your festive mainstay in our “Dazzling Holiday Dinners” recipe contest.

We’re looking for about anything you would serve for dinner. That means entrees, side dishes, soups, first courses, salads, breads and condiments. Just don’t send us appetizers, beverages or desserts.

Tempt us with breads that vanish as fast as they pop out of the oven, from feather-light rolls to quick breads. Or maybe your first course, with oysters Rockefeller or French onion soup, warms a chilly Christmas Eve.

Don’t forget to share entrees, including honey-roasted turkey, glazed ham and beef rib roast. If you have a scrumptious salad that whets the palate, we’d love a taste—Waldorf salad with yogurt dressing…mmm!

On the side, do you serve creamy mashed potatoes, sage-roasted vegetables or Mom’s corn pudding? Perhaps a signature condiment highlights your feast, like cucumber compote or cranberry chutney.

We can’t wait to see what you pass around your holiday tables. Send recipes postmarked by our contest deadline, April 1, 2010. We’ll announce the winners in our December/January 2011 issue.

GREAT PRIZES!
The Grand Prize is $500 cash. The second-prize winner will receive $300, and third prize is $200.

The five runners-up will win a free year of Country Woman for themselves or a friend.
